Event detail:

In the context of IICA's Hemispheric Agrifood Digitalisation Programme, this webinar is being held in connection with the presentation of a public policy mapping exercise to promote agricultural digitalisation in six countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Bahamas, Guyana and Costa Rica). The digitisation of agri-food systems is a complex process involving multiple public and private actors, who are called upon to collaborate with each other to make it dynamic and inclusive. Beyond this, states have a central and non-delegable role to play. The main focus of this seminar is to present public policy initiatives on digital agriculture, prioritising those that directly involve states. It is intended to be a space for exchange and learning that will contribute to the design of a generation of public policies for the aforementioned purpose.
